Roland R-8M
The R8M is the rack version of the ground-breaking Roland R-8 drum machine from 1989. It features 68 ROM samples built in (with many editing options), 32 note polyphony, 8 individual outputs and full MIDI compatibility. R-8 drum sounds dominated recordings from the late
1980's through the 90's, and are still heard on many records today. The Waverex WaveR8 is available for loading custom samples. Notable users include Aphex Twin, Autechre, 808 State, Orbital, and Human League. Watch a demo here.
